Description
Epithalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly; AEDG) is a synthetic tetrapeptide analogue of the natural polypeptide Epithalamin, developed through systematic bioregulator research programs pioneered by Professor Vladimir Khavinson and colleagues at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. Preclinical and in vitro studies have investigated its capacity to activate telomerase — the enzyme responsible for elongating telomeric DNA repeat sequences — a mechanism closely associated with cellular senescence and biological aging research.
Cell culture experiments with human diploid somatic cells and rodent aging models have examined Epithalon’s effects on antioxidant enzyme expression, melatonin biosynthesis restoration, and normalization of circadian gene expression patterns in aged tissue. Research with Epithalon 10mg is pursued within geroscience and longevity biology programs seeking to characterize the molecular mechanisms by which short peptide bioregulators may modulate gene expression, telomere dynamics, and epigenetic aging clocks in senescent cell populations.
