Description
IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 IGF-1) is an 83-amino-acid recombinant analogue of human insulin-like growth factor 1 in which the native glutamate at position 3 is replaced by arginine and a 13-amino-acid extension is added to the N-terminus. These modifications substantially reduce binding to IGF binding proteins (IGFBPs), resulting in a dramatically extended half-life relative to native IGF-1 while preserving full agonist activity at the IGF-1 receptor (IGF1R). In preclinical research, IGF-1 LR3 has been employed extensively in cell proliferation assays, satellite cell differentiation studies, and anabolic signaling pathway investigations involving the PI3K/Akt/mTOR axis.
Dorado Research supplies IGF-1 LR3 as a lyophilized recombinant protein with purity confirmed by RP-HPLC and mass spectrometry, and biological activity verified in cell proliferation bioassays. The compound is packaged under inert conditions to preserve disulfide bond integrity. It is intended exclusively as a laboratory research reagent for in vitro and ex vivo applications by qualified scientific personnel. For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
