Description

Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1) is an endogenous 28-amino-acid acetylated peptide originally isolated from thymosin fraction 5 of bovine thymic tissue. In vitro and animal studies have characterized its ability to potentiate dendritic cell antigen presentation, augment IL-2 and interferon-γ secretion from T-helper and cytotoxic T-cell populations, and promote NK-cell cytotoxicity.
